Matt Jubera

Lineage: Helio Gracie - Royler Gracie - Saulo & Xande Ribeiro 

 

Professor Matt Jubera is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt who was trained under Saulo and Xande Ribeiro- two of the world's most decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors and sought-after instructors. He holds the rank of shodan (black belt) in Judo under Walter Lamb and was a captain of his high school wrestling team.

 

Matt began his training and teaching at the University of Michigan Jiu Jitsu Club and soon after added Judo with the Metro Fight Club.  After graduating with a degree in Computer Science, he trained for years under Saulo and Xande in Toledo, Ohio.  When Saulo and Xande founded the University of Jiu-Jitsu in San Diego, California, Matt moved to Boulder, Colorado to enjoy its beautiful outdoors. There he trained and taught at the Easton Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy with talented black belts Amal Easton, Eliot Marshal, Nick Kline, Tyrone Glover, and Mario Correa.  Matt has also taken the Colorado grappling circuit by storm, winning five open weight tournament titles in the Fight To Win promotion.

Andrew “The Dude” Dudderar

Lineage: Carlos Gracie - Carlos Gracie Jr - Renzo Gracie - Amal Easton

 

Professor Andrew Dudderar is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Amal Easton of Easton Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  He is known for being impervious to chokes and for having a strong focus on the mental aspects of training.  Despite his intimidating appearance, Andrew has a sincere and inspiring love for helping others achieve their goals in Jiu-Jitsu, and quickly became one of the most beloved teachers in the local community.  

 

Andrew wrestled in high school before going on to play college football.  He started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1999 under the venerable Rafael Lovato Sr.  He moved to Boulder in 2000, and began training with Amal Easton in 2001.  After receiving his bachelors degree in Psychology from CU, Andrew moved to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, to live and train at the birthplace of the martial art for two years.  Andrew then received his brown belt from the Gracie Barra patriarch, Carlos Gracie Jr. and his black belt from Amal Easton.
